Janice Wagner is the multi-award-winning founder and CEO of Edge Group of Companies, a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Higher Diploma in Taxation. She is an accredited member and mentor of both SAIPA and SAICA. Janice founded Edge Executive Search 12 years ago and has successfully grown a significant permanent workforce across The Edge Group of Companies. She began her career at PwC, swiftly climbing the ranks over eight years within the Consumer Industrial Products department, handling major clients like SAB, Sandoz, Novartis, and Reckitt Benckiser.
In 2007, Janice moved to a leading South African executive search company as a Consultant and was promoted to Key Account Director in 2009, specializing in high-end opportunities in the financial services industry. Her exceptional performance earned her the “Rainmaker” title for two consecutive years. In 2011, she launched Edge Executive Search, focusing initially on the financial services sector, an area she knew intimately. This focus has remained central to the company's client base. Janice has maintained relationships with many individuals from the first Financial Services Talent Map she completed in 2009, closely watching and aiding the development of their careers.
Janice's professional achievements include being nominated as a finalist for the Standard Bank Rising Talent of the Year in 2016 and Standard Bank Top Women of the Year in the Entrepreneur Category in 2017. She won the CEO Global Most Influential Women Award in the Business and Professional Services Category in 2019. Janice holds strong business relationships at the Senior Executive and C-Suite level and is renowned for her expertise in business development.
