Joao carries more than 30 years of experience leading HR and People & Culture functions, with a strong track record of partnering with businesses to achieve strategic goals through people. His career began in the financial and insurance sectors, later expanding into technology and consulting, and further into agribusiness, industrial and FMCG industries. In his last executive role, he served as CHRO of a global technology group internationally recognised in fintech, mobile payments, digital platforms and engagement solutions.
With a career based in Europe and significant exposure to LATAM, APAC, MENA and US markets, Joao brings a truly global perspective.
Since 2023, he has concentrated on Executive Search and Leadership Development, while also advising clients on People Strategy and organisational transformation.
Joao holds a degree in Organisational Psychology and has completed executive education at institutions such as London Business School, Cambridge Judge Business School, San Telmo Business School and The RBL Group. He is currently pursuing a PhD at ISPA, Lisbon. A native Portuguese speaker, he is also fluent in English and Spanish.
